This year, Elena Souproun, a well-known Russian fashion designer and specialist in historical costumes, made Uzbek pleated silk ikat the centrepiece of her spring 2020 collection.

As well as regularly participating in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia, Soupron has garnered awards for her costume designs in films such as Alexei Uchitel's "His Wife's Diary”, submitted as Russia's Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film of 2000.
